This product uses a microUSB connection to mate to a port on the front of the unit to recharge the jump starter’s internal lithium battery. The internal lithium battery provides reserve power to charge the ultracapacitor when the disabled vehicle’s battery is too low to be used to charge it (below ~9VDC).
Note: Although this charger features a microUSB connector, the charger’s output is higher than a standard USB output. Only the provided charger (or OEM replacement) should be used.
