2140_V3Combining fully automatic operation and the ability to properly maintain the different batteries found in almost any car, truck, SUV, ATV, motorcycle, boat, lawn and garden or personal watercraft application, the new PL2140 is the perfect charger/maintainer for busy shops and enthusiasts alike.

The PRO-LOGIX PL2140 utilizes advanced microprocessor-controlled logic to deliver a fully automatic, precisely controlled 4.0A routine that optimally charges and maintains each battery serviced. Plus, it has the ability to properly charge virtually any lead acid battery type, including Conventional, AGM, Gel Cell, Spiral Wound, Deep Cycle and Marine batteries.

PL2140_Action7The PL2140 adapts its approach based on the needs of each battery it services. Such adaptations can include activating a soft start mode on deeply discharged batteries, a battery repair mode on older/distressed batteries and temperature compensation to properly manage charging in extreme temperatures. In addition to providing advanced battery charging, it also offers an advanced battery maintenance routine once the battery has reached full charge. This is ideal for extended storage applications, such as those found in collision repair, as well as the storage of seasonal use vehicles.

The PL2140 features a special operator-activated Recovery Mode, enabling the unit to automatically recover from power outages. This is extremely helpful if the charger is being used to maintain the battery on a vehicle where regular oversight or intervention is not possible.

Long term charging, fast overnight charging… car, truck, jet ski, lawn tractor, motorcycle…
6 Volt or 12 Volt… you name it… your batteries will love the PL2140.

  1. What’s your recommendation on hooking up two batteries running in parallel in an RV? Will the PL2140 charge both batteries by hooking up the clamps to one of them?

    1. Mike – yes. That would be the correct way to connect. With 2 batteries, depending on how discharged they are when you go to charge, you could need to put many amp hours back into them. The key question to my mind is whether the 4A output of the PL2140 is enough for your application? If you think it may be too little, I would suggest moving up to the PL2320, which offers 20A, 10A or 2A output. The key additional feature the PL2140 offers is the Recovery Mode feature. I am not sure how critical this feature is to you. Thanks, Jim from Clore Automotive
