PCM Reprogramming Leads to a More Basic Fix

In this very helpful post from Michael from Utah, he walks through his diagnostic process on a 2007 Jeep Liberty, for which he was brought in to reprogram a replaced PCM. When the original complaint was not resolved after a successful reprogram, he went back to the drawing board. Using his diagnostic strategy, referencing the schematics for that vehicle and testing the power and ground of the affected circuits, he quickly found the source of the issue (hint: it had nothing to do with the original PCM).
