A No-Start Issue of Strange Origin

iATN_620x385_1114

iATN_620x385_1114Today’s iATN spotlight is focused, like many we have spotlighted in the past, on an intermittent no-start issue, this time on a 2012 Ford. Unlike previous examples, this one did not originate with faulty wiring or a defective component. Diagnosis was further complicated by the fact that the problem did not appear as long as the IDS was connected to the vehicle. This post, from Michael in New Jersey, is another great example of the extensive detective work needed to diagnose and resolve starting system issues.
