Years of JNC660 Happiness!

“I have had a JNC660 for at least 20 years. I’m on my third one. I follow the instructions for proper care and it stays plugged in, unplugging it every so often. I use it, then plug it back in – the durability is extremely mind-boggling.

I carry the JNC660 wherever I go. Last year, my daughter was playing a collegiate game three hours from home. My wife and I stayed behind and helped out until the team bus left. As we walked an eighth of a mile at 10:30 on a cold November night to where the parking lot was, we noticed two cars with their hoods up. One car was trying to jump start the other. Something happened and now both cars had dead batteries.

My wife and I approached them and they said that they had called AAA, but there was a 2 to 3 hour wait. I told them that I could help them out. I went to our SUV and pulled out the JNC660 that was in the trunk. I jump started one vehicle and then jump started the other. The date code on one of the batteries was eight years old. The other vehicle had left the interior lights on, and they were stranded there for over five hours. The JNC660 that night saved them.

Just two weeks ago, I got a phone call from my daughter, who was a half hour away. She and her friend went to the drive-in and her friend’s battery was dead. They were listening to the movie without the car running. I went at 1 a.m. and jumped them with the JNC660. The jump pack that the drive-in theater tried to use was a very inexpensive, a mass retailer brand unit. After jumping two cars that night, it depleted their jumper.

I have many more stories. Please don’t fall for these glove box jump boxes. If you walk into any used car dealership, any ASE-certified repair facility, you will see a Clore JNC660 99% of the time. It’s an extremely well-built unit. And, customer service returned my phone call within 24 hours and an email within two hours. I just had questions about the product, never an issue with any of my JNC660 units.

I need to make it clear. The reason why I’m on number three is because the first one was stolen and the second one was run over in a parking lot by a friend of mine. They were still going strong after several years of use.”

  1. This is exactly the product /model my mechanic recommended to me.
He has one with metal clamps. He said he’s changed the battery out twice. He had his since the 90s. He also told me that either the snap on or Matt go to a guy said that they’re jump boxes are Clore just with a different decal.

    1. Jim – Thanks for your comment. We’re glad that your unit is working well for you. Also that it has lasted so long for your mechanic. If taken care of, they definitely can last a very long tine. Thanks again, Jim from Clore Automotive

      1. You mentioned that your JNC660 stays plugged in all the time.
I was under the assumption that the unit needs to be charged once a month?

        1. Ron – Thanks for your question. Charging every month is an excellent way to do it. All of the units in our lineup can be left connected to AC power indefinitely without adverse consequences, so for a lot of users, leaving their unit plugged in all the time is the preferred method. Either way is fine. The important thing is regular charging. Thanks, Jim from Clore Automotive

  2. The JNC660 is an amazing powerhouse. I got stuck with a dead battery and called AAA for a rescue because my mass market jump pack couldn’t do the job. The service tech they sent pulled out a well worn JNC660 from his van. He connected it to my battery and my car started with no trouble. For what it’s worth my car is a 1967 Plymouth with a high compression 440 V8 so needless to say I was impressed.

The tech said the JNC660 is the only jump pack they use because it’s simple and surprisingly inexpensive for what it is. I bought two immediately after that. I charge them monthly or whenever I use them on a 120 volt extension cord.

I have a farm and with 4 farm tractors and 2 pickup trucks and the portability and convenience is priceless. I’ve amazed more than a few people with my JNC660 when I get their stranded vehicles started. It’s even gotten full size diesel pick-up trucks to start from cold.

There’s no replacement for a strong and deep battery and simple design. These things will a dozen cars on a single charge-believe me, I’ve done it.

    1. Charles – Thanks for your comment. We really appreciate it and we’re glad that your JNC660 has served you so well. It sounds like it gets a lot of work, which is great. Thanks again, Jim from Clore Automotive

  3. I only charge my unit when I get the reminder email from Clare, should I be leaving mine plugged in charging all the time? Doesn’t that kill the battery eventually?

    1. Ted – Thanks for your question. Charging every 90 days or so is fine, as long as you remember to do it. All of the units in our lineup can be left connected to AC power indefinitely without adverse consequences, so for a lot of users, leaving their unit plugged in all the time is the preferred method. Either way is fine. Thanks, Jim from Clore Automotive

  4. Your story mirrored my experience with two JNC660s, John. I’ve helped out numerous drivers in parking lots with hoods up. It’s very satisfying to help out others immensely for so little effort on my part, not to mention helping myself out on occasion.

    1. Richard – Thanks for your comment and for using your JNC660s to assist others in need. I always says, our customers are the most generous people in the world. In the 15 years that we have requested that customers share their stories, we have received countless examples of customers using their JNC and Booster PAC units to help strangers who are stranded in parking lots, on the side of the road, at the airport and many more places. It is very inspiring. Thanks again, Jim from Clore Automotive
