Here’s a great drive-ability case study that required some serious sleuthing to get to the root cause of the complaint, which was intermittent bucking or skipping (later determined to occur around 2500-3000 RPM) on a 2012 Hyundai Elantra. Bob from Massachusetts donned his detective cap and followed an excellent diagnostic strategy to get to the bottom of the problem. To do so, he had to make several educated guesses based on his knowledge and experience. In the end, these steps led him to the fix, which required only his brain power, a scope and a piece of cardboard. It is a great detective story and we think you will find it noteworthy.
